What We Did

Riverstone completed a $1.4 million historical renovation/adaptive reuse of a 175-year-old Greek Revival residence in Petersburg’s South Market Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built in 1850 and later compromised by a 1980s office conversion, the building required both restoration and modernization.

Riverstone stabilized the foundation, repaired chimneys, and preserved historic features while discreetly integrating modern power, data, and workplace systems. By restoring the original floor plan and architectural character, the project transformed a deteriorating historic asset into a functional, market-viable law office, demonstrating how thoughtful rehabilitation can extend building life, support commercial use, and strengthen the surrounding district.
